07 Feb Padel Specialists UK Install Manchester First Indoor Padel Court
Padel Specialists UK have installed the first indoor padel court in Greater Manchester.
The court has been installed at Life Leisure’s Houldsworth Village Sports Centre in Reddish.
Life Leisure are a Community Interest Company owned by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council were quick to introduce the UK’s fastest growing sport to it’s residents.
They turned to UK leading padel court installers Padel Specialists UK to create the ground breaking indoor court.
Padel Specialists UK create a single Portico court with stunning Sterling blue surface complete with floodlights and break out area.
Manchester’s First Indoor Court
The court officially opened in February 2024 and became an immediate success attracting hundreds of people to the UK’s fastest growing sport.

All Year Round
“Padel – which was invented in Mexico in the 1960s – is becoming increasingly popular across the world, including here in Greater Manchester. Unfortunately, we don’t enjoy the same weather benefits Mexico, so we thought it best to create an indoor court so that residents can enjoy the game all year round.
“Not only is padel a fantastic way to keep fit, it’s also very inclusive with a strong social aspect, as matches are often played in doubles.
“Here at Life Leisure, we’re not just about helping people keep fit we provide a supportive community for people of all abilities to keep active, socialise and connect, so investing in a padel court was a natural move for us.”
